Akshay Kumar: “I would’ve been disappointed if another actor recreated Tip Tip Barsa Paani”

Bollywood songs are currently in the re-make era as songs from the 80’s and 90’s are being recreated for today’s Bollywood movies. While these songs are pictured on the current generation of actors like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar will still be the face in the recreation of his 1994 classic ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’ for his next ‘Sooryavanshi’.

Kumar took to social media to confirm that he will be filming the song for ‘Sooryavanshi’, and is thankful to Ratan Jain for it. On Twitter, Kumar wrote (@akshaykumar), “I would’ve definitely been disappointed if any other actor would’ve recreated Tip Tip Barsa Paani,a song which has been synonymous with me & my career & I can’t thank Ratan Jain ji enough. At times like these you realize,we may have come a long way but we also go back a long way.”

‘Sooryavanshi’ is directed by Rohit Shetty.
