Akshay Kumar fans slam Filmfare Awards 2017

Akshay Kumar fans have taken to Twitter to slam this weekend’s Filmfare Awards after the star was snubbed in the nominations list.

Last night, an event was held where nominations for this year’s Filmfares were announced. Furthermore, Kumar had a hugely successful year last year with performances in ‘Airlift’, ‘Housefull 3’ and ‘Rustom’.

Fans of the star have questioned the Filmfares after Kumar’s name was missing in the Best Actor category. The nominations list included Aamir Khan (Dangal), Amitabh Bachchan (Pink), Ranbir Kapoor (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil), Salman Khan (Sultan), Shah Rukh Khan (Fan), Shahid Kapoor (Udta Punjab), Sushant Singh Rajput (MS Dhoni: The Untold Story).

Fans have been left angered with the list and subsequently took to Twitter to brand the awards “paid” by artists. So much so, they they have been trending “Filmfare Awards on Sale” for a number of hours.
