Akshay Kumar buys kabaddi team Bengal Warriors

Following in the footsteps of Abhishek Bachchan, who purchased the Pro Kabaddi League’s Jaipur Pink Panthers, Akshay Kumar has decided to spend his money on acquiring the Bengal Warriors.

Reports say that Kumar, who has been keen to purchase a kabaddi team for a while, had his eyes locked on the Bengal Warriors, formerly owned by the Future Group. “Akshay has always loved the sport and wanted to own a team. This season, he has decided to work on his plan. The papers were signed by his representative last evening,” a source says.

Bengal Warriors will play the inaugural match against Bengaluru Bulls. The team is captained by Dinesh Kumar and coached by Raj Narain Sharma, reports Mid-Day.
