Akshay Kumar & Alia Bhatt not in Sriram Raghavan’s next

Following the success of Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Badlapur’ (2015), rumours have been doing the rounds that the director roped in Akshay Kumar and Alia Bhatt for a forthcoming project. However, Raghavan has clarified the two have not been cast and preparations are still undergoing.

The proposed film is to be an adaptation of Sheeja Jose’s book ‘Gone with the Bullet’, an unusual story of an 18-year-old girl in love with a 40-year-old assassin. Kumar and Bhatt’s name had been featured as potential leads but Raghavan confirmed to SpotboyE that this is not the case, “None of the above mentioned stars will feature in his film based on Sheeja Jose’s book.  We have still to decide on the cast and will update once it is done.”

Incidentally the film was originally meant to be made by Sujoy Ghosh but due to unknown reasons Ghosh was unable to make it so Raghavan has taken the helm.
