Akshay Kumar out, Aamir Khan in for ‘Mogul’?

Akshay Kumar, who was very excited about his lead role in the upcoming biopic ‘Mogul’, has reportedly returned the signing amount and left the project.

‘Mogul’ is based on the late Gulshan Kumar, film producer and the founder of T-Series music label. Rumours of Kumar leaving the film had been circulating for a while, since no dates had been finalized with the actor.

While director Subhash Kapoor is still working on the script, Aamir Khan has now joined the team as a producer. According to DNA, a source revealed that “Aamir will produce this biopic, which itself is an important development. Whether he will play the lead is not yet decided. No other details are known as of now.”

The film is expected to release in 2018.
