New Sikh religious service, Akaal Channel is set for a Sky Digital launch in the UK in the coming days after tests were spotted off the EPG today.

The channel was expected to launch earlier this year but had been postponed due to reasons unknown. However, the service is now ready to go live and EPG data showing details of the channel’s programmes have begun testing.

Akaal Channel is a UK based broadcaster, which is going to provide religious, education, cultural and entertainment programming for Sikh and non-Sikh community. Akaal TV is the UK�۪s first television station under Sri Akaal Takht Sahib. Akaal Channel is going to broadcast in UK, Europe and internationally via web streaming www.akaalchannel.tv.

Akaal Channel will be the third service targeting the Sikh community with religious and cultural programming after Sikh Channel and Sangat TV.

Akaal Channel is expected to launch in early September on Sky Digital and online.

The tests can be viewed at the following parameters below:
-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> Select System Setup -> Select Add Channels
-> Enter frequency: 12.560 (H), FEC: 2/3, SR: 27500
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight ���54066? service and press Yellow button
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> ���54066? should be listed and available
