Ajay Devgn to remake his debut film ‘Phool Aur Kaante’

Ajay Devgn’s first film ‘Phool Aur Kaanta’ (1991) put him on the map. The actor-producer has said that he wants to remake the film for the modern-day.

Confirming to Filmfare, Devgn said, “I want to remake my first film, Phool Aur Kaante (1991). I’ve thought of a new way of presenting it in keeping with the changing times. I will co-produce it with someone. I’m looking for a fresh face for that. The approach will be different but the emotional texture will be retained”.

The 1991 film also starred Madhoo and Amrish Puri and the soundtrack proved popular with the audiences.
