Ajay Devgn has been in the film industry for over two decades and has seen his share of hits and flops. The actor claims that he can tell while shooting a film if it is headed for failure but it is just too late to save it at times.
Devgn told Filmfare, You get to know if the film isn۪t working while shooting for it. At least that۪s been the case with me 80 per cent of the time. But at that point so much is at stake that you can۪t do or say anything. With Himmatwala۪ (2013), I thought the movie would be presented like Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai۪ (2010) retro but with a contemporary punch and styling. Sajid Khan, on the other hand, perceived Himmatwala۪ as an out and out 80s movie, which I didn۪t. I guess everyone has their own take. That۪s one of the reasons why I haven۪t seen Himmatwala۪ or even Rascals۪ (2011) till today.
Two-time National Award winner, Devgn is a respected actor who has been a part of some great cinema and has maintained a successful career over a long period of time. The 45-year-old actor has had his mix of films which hit the 100 crore club and those which become box office washouts.
He will next be seen in Rohit Shetty۪s Singham Returns۪ opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film is slated to release on 15th August.
