Ajay Devgn on Luv Ranjan’s next: “Ranbir & I begin shooting from next year”

The last time we saw Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor sharing screen space was for Prakash Jha’s ‘Raajneeti’ (2010). Despite rumours suggesting otherwise, Devgn confirms that the pair will be teaming up again for Luv Ranjan’s next.

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Devgn shared Ranjan’s untitled next was still on the cards. “Ranbir and I shooting from next year as planned. The film is being scripted.”

The ‘Shivaay’ (2014) actor was also looking into another project based on the life of Jaswant Singh Gill, an engineer who risked his life to rescue 65 miners trapped in a coalmine, but the script fell through, explains Devgn, “The script did not pan out the way we had envisioned.”

Devgn who is currently occupied with promoting his forthcoming film with Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit-Nene in ‘Total Dhamaal’, has quite a busy schedule ahead with several other projects in the pipeline. Shooting his 100th film, ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’ will mark a milestone in the actor’s career. The ‘Raid’ (2018) star will also be featuring in S.S Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ in a cameo appearance. Thereafter, Devgn will commence a sports drama, where he’ll be seen playing the role of a manager of the Indian football team.
