Ajay Devgn is back with the fourth instalment of the ‘Golmaal’ franchise called ‘Golmaal Again’ which marks one of this year’s Diwali releases. The film marks the 10th film with director-producer Rohit Shetty and also sees much of the star cast return in roles that they are known for.

BizAsiaLive.com caught up with Devgn ahead of the film’s release.

You’re back with another ‘Golmaal’ film. Do you feel any pressure to deliver as the franchise has seen so much success?
Well, I wouldn’t describe it as bad pressure. We know that the audience has loved the previous films and we’ve enjoyed making them. It doesn’t even feel like we are making a film when all of us are together so I would say there is pressure but it’s good pressure.

How do you stay motivated when being part of this kind of franchise?
Well, it’s a fun film and really it’s all about how much the audiences have loved and appreciated the films in the franchise. That’s what motivates all of us. We come together and we know that this is a formula that works. There are characters that people will be familiar with and have enjoyed watching.

Parineeti Chopra has joined the cast this time round. What was it like having her on the sets?
I don’t think it was any different working with her, she fit in with all of us straight away. She says she felt a little awkward to start with but I think she gelled well with everyone and it was nice having her energy on set.

You are, of course, coming together with Tabu once again. What was that like?
Well, it doesn’t feel like I’m really working with Tabu. It’s very homely and feels like it’s just two friends coming together and it’s always wonderful working with her.

‘Golmaal Again’ is your 10th film with Rohit Shetty. How does that feel?
Well, I worked with Rohit when he was just starting and I’m still working with him now. It’s been a great journey and I hope there’s more to come.

‘Golmaal Again’ releases on 20th October.
