During last Diwali, Ajay Devgn was at loggerheads with the makers of ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ after it filed a complaint alleging abuse of dominant market position by Yash Raj Films, which subsequently was rejected by the Competition Commission of India (CCI).

Things between the actor and the major production house went slightly sour, even though his film ‘Son Of Sardar’ (2012) did good business at the box office. In an interview with Times Of India, Devgn denied he had any issue with Yash Raj Films. “I didn’t fight with Aditya Chopra for box office numbers. SOS was a Diwali entertainer and it got its due. I was fighting on principle and I was fighting an unfair practice. I’m told this Ramzan Eid, two more producers will be at loggerheads. Someone else will knock on the doors of the Competition Commission. Wherever there is malpractice, someone will raise their head. And a fight will ensue.”

Asked if Devgn had any problems with Khan who was a part of ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ and closely works with his wife, Kajol. He said, “Personally, I have never had a fight with SRK. Kajol maintains her equations, I maintain mine. Professionally, he reminded me, through others, that he was also the producer of Jab Tak Hai Jaan. So, he was on the other side of the firing line. Hence, technically, my fight was also against him. He made no attempts to rectify the wrong they (Adi and he) did. I wasn’t going to give up what I believed in. That’s why there is no equation between SRK and me.”
