Ajay Devgn: “Box office clashes don’t matter”

Ajay Devgn has been a part of some of the most controversial and meaningful box office clashes in recent years but when asked about these conflicts, the actor has surprisingly said that they are of little significance.

“Box office clashes don’t matter. It has become common and happens with almost every film. It’s just that some people voice their opinions, while others don’t,” said Devgn, according to Filmfare. The actor’s film ‘Baadshaho’ is set for release on 1st September, on the same day as ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’.

When Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’ clashed with Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ last year, Devgn was accused of being a rebel. He comments, “I am not a rebel if I voice my opinion against a wrong practice. I am honest with myself; I speak my mind and say what the truth is. I have never played the victim card and will never do that, as I am strong enough to face the situation”.

“I don’t feel the need to be diplomatic. I am happy the way I am. As long as I know I am right, I care a damn,” concluded Devgn.

‘Baadshaho’ also stars Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta and Vidyut Jammwal.
