Aishwarya to play grey character in Mani Ratnam’s next?

Rumours about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan collaborating with Mani Ratnam have been doing the rounds for some time. The latest suggests that the role the actress has been offered is a grey-shaded one.

Filmfare reports that the film will be based on a novel by Kalki called ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. Not only that, it’s thought that Telugu actor Mohan Babu could be seen opposite Rai Bachchan in the film.

There’s no confirmation yet but one hopes an announcement comes soon.
