Unfortunately for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, her recent releases haven’t been working too well at the Box Office. While her latest, ‘Sarbjit’, won appreciation with some critics, it has failed to live up to expectations with the Box Office figures. Rai Bachchan believes films like this need to work, in order for the industry to grow.

Speaking to ANI, the actress said, “If films like this finds an audience, then it will give the people in the industry the confidence to continue telling stories like this. Otherwise it will dilute the attitude altogether. People will lose faith in investing. It is an industry end of the day; it is investment versus returns.”

Directed by Omung Kumar, ‘Sarbjit’ starred Rai Bachchan alongside Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadha, with Hooda in the titular role and Rai Bachchan as his onscreen sister.
