Aishwarya Rai Bachchan angered by journalist

At a recent event in Mumbai, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan seemed happy to be back in the limelight answering questions from the press. However, news has it that one question, regarding older actresses doing dance numbers, turned her mood around completely.

During the event, Rai Bachchan was asked how she felt about senior actresses doing item songs, instead of being offered the lead in a film. This seemed to have struck a chord with the actress, who has been a part of a few item songs herself. “These are questions that should be asked to rest of the business. These are not the question that should be directed at an actor,” Times of India��report the actress protesting.

It had been reported that the actress was offered an item song in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’, which both Bhansali and Rai Bachchan denied.

When asked why she hasn’t confirmed a comeback to the industry, she explained, “I have been reading scripts and work is getting finalised. But it has always been the prerogative of the directors and producers to make the announcement. So that’s why I never do it.”
