Aishwarya to play Sadhana in ‘Woh Kaun Thi’ remake

With work underway on the remake of the classic thriller ‘Woh Kaun Thi’, word has it that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has bagged the lead role originally played by Sadhana.

According to Deccan Chronicle, there was a toss between Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Madhuri Dixit for the role. However, it went to Bachchan for her proxmity to Sadhana.

Producer Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment said, “The female lead in Woh Kaun Thi? has to be an ethereal beauty, a wandering spirit looking for love. And she has to look convincing lending her face to Lataji’s Naina Barse Rimjhim and Lag Jaa Gale Se. I couldn’t imagine anyone but Aishwarya in the role.”

Rumours are rife that Shahid Kapoor will be paired opposite Bachchan.
