Aishwarya to play Amrita Pritam in ‘Gustaakhiyaan’?

With rumours that Priyanka Chopra has opted out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gustaakhiyaan’, there is now speculation that none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan might bag the role of Amrita Pritam in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial.

Deccan Chronicle reports that Rai Bachchan could be taking on the role which would then see her share the screen with husband Abhishek Bachchan, who is apparently to essay the role of poet Sahir Ludhianvi.

This is indeed an exciting development if true, especially with so many rumours about the real-life couple coming together again on celluloid.
