Aishwarya extends stay at Cannes to attend fashion fundraiser

The Cannes Film Festival 2013 has been Aishwarya Rai Bachchan once again in the news for all the right reasons. Her much-awaited appearances have caused quite a stir. It seems the actress has decided to stay on longer at the festival especially so that she is able to attend a fashion show in aid of��The American Foundation for AIDS Research (amFar).

The event, titled ‘The Ultimate Gold Collection Fashion Show’, is – as the name suggests – celebrating gold this year and will, as with recent years, see many well-known personalities in attendance. Bachchan has made the relevant arrangements to make sure that she is able to be a part of the event once again.

Tarun Tahiliani will be the only Indian fashion designer on show at the event and he has designed a gold outfit for Bachchan to adorn on the red carpet in keeping with the theme.

The fashion fundraiser is expected to take place today, 23rd May.
