Aishwarya asks for rewrites of ‘Woh Kaun Thi’ & ‘Raat Aur Din’ remakes

Despite her last release ‘Fanney Khan’ (2018) not having made a huge impact at the Box Office, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan isn’t showing any signs of stopping. As well as currently preparing for Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Gulab Jamun’ for which she’ll be sharing screen space with husband Abhishek Bachchan, the actress recently spoke to the media about the projects recent news associated her with.

There were whispers that Rai Bachchan had been approached for a film title ‘Jasmine’ that focuses on the subject of surrogacy, along with the remakes of ‘Woh Kaun Thi’ (1964) and ‘Raat Aur Din’ (1967). “I had asked the makers of the surrogacy story (‘Jasmine’) for a rewrite. There were two remakes (‘Woh Kaun Thi’ and ‘Raat Aur Din’), which were interesting ideas. I respect the movies of those times (the ’60s). So, I asked them to get their rights in place,” DNA India reports the actress explaining.
