Ahaan Panday not close to uncle Chunky Pandey?

Ahaan Panday, nephew of Chunky Pandey, has distanced himself from his uncle in a recent interview.  The young socialite, popular for his Instagram posts and being friends with Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, held a live chat on social media providing his fans with the opportunity to interact with him.

Whilst he happily answered questions on fitness and upcoming plans to be an actor, when asked about his connection with Pandey, he reportedly stated he had no connection with him.  According to Spotboye.com he said, “It’s funny that my surname is Panday but I’m nowhere connected to him. My dad is Aloke Sharad Panday and that’s the only Panday connection I have. I have established myself in the B-town through my popularity”.

However Chunky Pandey is indeed the brother of his father thus a paternal relationship does exist.  The denial of a connection raises eyebrows as to whether there is a family tiff or whether the young and upcoming star is trying to carve his own identity.
