Karan Johar who announced his much ambitious project ‘Shuddhi’ – only to be shelved, has done it yet again with a film that he was working on with Shakun Batra.

According to Mumbai Mirror, the makers were considering doing a film about two brothers, which would have starred Imran Khan and Farhan Akhtar. However, the film has been put on the back burner and Johar has asked the ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ director to come up with another story with an easier cast.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, “Both Karan and Shakun were extremely pleased with the way the earlier film’s script had shaped up. However, they were finding it difficult to cast the right actors. Shakun has now moved on to a comedy.”

Beside ‘Shuddhi’, ‘Dostana 2’ is another film that has been left out in the cold by Johar.
