Adult drama ‘Obsession’ gives Netflix victory in its launch weekend
Netflix’s latest original, ‘Obsession’ starring Indira Varma has delivered positive numbers for the streaming platform in its launch weekend.
The four-part series, which centres around a respected London surgeon’s affair with his son’s fiancée, has been described as Netflix’s steamiest shows yet. It turns into an erotic infatuation that threatens to change the family’s lives forever.
Varma plays Ingrid Farrow, the wife of Richard Armitage (William Farrow), who struck with grief upon the discovery of Farrow’s obsessive affair between ‘Happy Valley’ star Charlie Murphy’s Anna. Rishi Shah plays the character of Farrow’s son Jay Farrow.

Talking about the heartbreaking scenes that follow in the series, Varma told DigitalSpy, “You put yourself in that character’s shoes. I have a child and I just feel for Ingrid and I just channel what I feel and put it through her lens, I suppose.”
‘Obsession’ launched on 13th April and has been riding high on top of Netflix’s ‘Most Watched’.
