As the tension between India and Pakistan begin to settle down with Pakistani artists coming to India to work, it’s still a sensitive topic. So it comes to no surprise when actor Adnan Siddiqui was misinterpreted saying that he wouldn’t go to India to shoot for his film ‘Mom’ unless there was proper security.

“I never said that I won’t go to India unless they assure security,” The News reported Siddiqui stating.

Marking his debut with ‘Mom’ starting Sridevi as the lead, Siddiqui has been signed to play the role of her husband. He will be visiting the country to shoot for the last part of the film.

He went on to express, “Considering the sensitivity of the current situation between Pakistan and India, I just said that since they are calling us there, they must have thought of security arrangements. Some elections will be going on in India during the period when I’m expected to go for the shoot there and this is why I was concerned.”

Also starting Sridevi and Sajal Aly, ‘Mom’ is set to release next year.
