Music maestro, Adnan Sami has been given special recognition for his achievements in the music industry at the 7th annual Asian Awards in London last night.
Sami, who performed to packed venues in the UK in March, was handed the ‘Outstanding Achievement in Music’ award. The singer, musician and pianist, known for his incredible journey in both Bollywood, Indian Pop and Pakistani music, was unable to pick-up the award in person but accepted the award through a pre-recorded video message.
The Asian Awards launched in 2010 Paul Sagoo, entrepreneur and founder of the Lemon Group, and is now one of the most influential global events celebrating Pan Asian excellence. Sachin Tendulkar and Sunny Pawar were given the Fellowship Award and Rising Star of the Year Award respectively. An array of stars including Bollywood star Varun Dhawan, Meera Syal and Hollywood beauty Lindsay Lohan were also a part of the prestigious night. Sanjeev Bhaskar hosted the event.
