Aditya Seal on sharing screen space with Tiger Shroff in ‘SOTY 2’

They will be seen sharing the screen as arch rivals in ‘Student of the Year 2’, however off-screen, Tiger Shroff and Aditya Seal are very good friends, with a lot in common. Talking to the media, Seal revealed all about their friendship and how they worked so well together whilst doing their vigorous action sequences.

“Working with someone like Tiger in any capacity is very easy because he’s a cool guy, who puts the film before himself. He doesn’t even mind another actor taking centre stage in a scene if that helps the movie,” Times of India reports the actor expressing.

Talking about working together doing action sequence, both Seal and Shroff are avid martial artist, who seemed to have worked very well together. “There’s a scene in the trailer where Tiger kicks four people in one go. The scene following it is supposed to be an exchange of kicks and punches with me, after which, I am supposed to fall off the edge,” Seal explained.

He added, “We decided to perform it without harnesses because Tiger and I trusted each other implicitly. I knew that he would hold me back if I am really about to fall, which is what happened. Poori taqat se (with full strength) he held me when I was about to fall. Most people on the set thought aaj to yeh gaya (today he’s gone). My forearms were swollen for a week after that, but it was so much fun.”

“Given that we’re both heavily into martial arts, and we’ve been training together for years now, we knew that come what may, our reflexes will come into play and that we will end up hitting each other for real. That did happen and it made our action scenes look amazing. He saved me in the nick of time that day; on another day he almost got me. I think even our mistimed flips and slips have added a layer of authenticity to the action scenes,” he went on.

Talking about their relationship, both actors have been friends for a very long time. When asked about the stuff they talk about and get up to, Seal revealed, “The kind of stuff we speak cannot be printed. We don’t discuss work, except on certain occasions when we share updates. I remember, he had told me about doing ‘Rambo’ and I had spoken to him about auditioning for this film. He kept a tab on it and was very happy when I was cast in ‘SOTY2’ because he knows the kind of action I am capable of.”

Directed by Punit Malhotra, ‘Student of the Year 2’ will also star Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria.
