Aditya Roy Kapur talks about ‘Kalank’ flop

Despite featuring a huge star cast with the likes of Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and Varun Dhawan amongst others, the film ‘Kalank’ (2019) flopped at the box office.

The film also starred Aditya Roy Kapur in an important role and the actor recently spoke to Times of India about the film’s flop. “I was very upset, as one would be, when any film doesn’t do well. This was no different. I was lucky that I got straight back to work. Had I been idle and had time to process it, it might have been a different thing. After Kalank released, I was straight on a film set. It was challenging in itself, but it took my mind off what was happening to the film, and helped me put my energies elsewhere,” said the actor.

Kapur will next be seen in Mohit Suri’s upcoming psychological thriller, ‘Malang’, alongside Anil Kapoor, Kunal Khemu and Disha Patani. The film is set to release on the 7th of February, 2020.
