Aditya Roy Kapur signed for Anurag Basu’s next?

After the exciting news that Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen in ‘Sadak 2’, comes news that he’s apparently also due to be seen in Anurag Basu’s forthcoming venture opposite Taapsee Pannu.

A source revealed to DNA, “Adi has been cast for Anurag’s film that is being made on the lines of his earlier movie Life in A… Metro (2007), but it is likely to have a different title. The team was scouting for a good-looking Gen-Y actor. Bhushan Kumar, who’s producing the project along with Basu, met Adi and narrated the part to him. Aditya has given a green signal and signed on the dotted line”.

The film will apparently also star Saif Ali Khan and Rajkummar Rao along with others, as BizAsiaLive.com reported not long ago. The source went on to say, “Aditya will feature in the same story as Taapsee. This will be the first time they will be paired opposite each other. There were reports that the Manmarziyaan actress has been replaced by Fatima, but that is incorrect. In fact, the Dangal heroine has been approached for a different role in the same movie. Unlike the other three stories, Taapsee and Adi’s plot will have a funny take on love”.

It seems coordinating all the actors’ dates is becoming a little difficult as the insider concluded, “There are seven popular faces in the film, so matching their schedules is proving to be a herculean task. That’s also the reason why the makers haven’t been able to put down a date on which their movie is likely to roll. If it begins later this year (as per initial plans), Adi will shoot for this project and then start Sadak 2 next year. Or else, Anurag will start his other flick, Imali, with Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar and then come back to this one”.
