Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor became 2013’s epitome of romance with their love story in ‘Aashiqui 2’. The popular on-screen, and alleged off-screen, couple are now ready to shoot their next film together: the Hindi remake of ‘OK Kanmani’.
Pinkvilla quote Roy Kapur as confirming the news, stating, “We begin shooting the ‘OK Kanmani’ remake from the first week of March. It will be releasing this year itself. I loved the original itself. It just took my heart away so there was denying the film.”
The original ‘OK Kanmani’ released in April 2015, and was directed by the popular Mani Ratnam. The remake will be directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Karan Johar. It can be noted that Ali has previously also directed a Ratnam remake, Yash Raj Films’ ‘Saathiya’ (2002).
