It’s every aspiring actor’s dream to be signed for a big lead hero role, and where some get their big break straight away for others, they have to establish themselves in other roles before that big offer comes. Aditya Roy Kapur was one of the later beings who got his lead role in his fourth film. However, the actor never had any doubts that he would eventually get there.

“I was never disheartened that I did not get solo hero movies. At the end of the day everyone wants a commercially viable hero. So I could not blame them they did not to see me in that space in order to give me an opportunity,” India Todayreported the actor explaining

Appearing in ‘London Dreams, (2009), ‘Action Replayy’ (2010) and ‘Guzaarish’ (2010), director Mohit Suri offered Kapoor the lead in ‘Aashiqui 2’ (2013). Kapur went onto add, “Even when I was doing supporting roles I always had this belief that one day the opportunity to play a lead would come my way. I was confident that I would get my chance as well.”

Having full faith in himself definitely worked in Kapur’s favour. His next film ‘Daawat-E-Ishq’ will see him sharing the screen space with actress Parineeti Chopra which will be releasing this Friday. Amongst promoting this film, Kapoor will soon be gearing up for his upcoming project, Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Fitoor’. Based on the novel ‘Great Expectations’ by Charles Dickens, Kapur went onto talk about the film, ‘Fitoor’ will begin in the next couple of months. I have to lose weight and slim down a little so as to fit into the character. I am on a special dietthere are acting workshops that are planned.”
