Aditya Narayan: “My whole savings are depleted”

Despite messages of positive vibes ascending worldwide, the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic has been a hard hit to the masses, including many big names of the TV and film industry. One such name is Aditya Narayan who has had to spend all of his savings to keep up with his living costs without any work. And with his wedding soon to come in the next few months, he’s in desperate need for his work to commence soon.

Talking to the media, Narayan expressed that the government needs to do much more to support their citizens. He said, “If the government extends the lockdown even further, people will start dying of hunger. My whole savings are depleted. I’ve literally finished my savings. All the money I had invested in Mutual Funds, I had to withdraw all of that (to survive). Because nobody had planned that I wouldn’t be working for a year and yet chilling it out. Nobody plans it like that. Unless you’re like some billionaire,” Bollywood Bubble reports the TV presenter explaining.

He went on to add, “So there is no choice. Like I’ve Rs 18,000 left in my account. So if I don’t start working by October, I would have no money. I would have to sell off my bike or something. It’s really tough. At the end of the day, you’ve to take some harsh calls. When you take those harsh calls, there will be a certain section of people who will say that this decision is incorrect.”

Set to wed long-term girlfriend Shweta Agarwal at the end of the year, it seems Narayan is in an extremely tight spot. With some lockdown measures easing where many on-screen personalities have been able to return to work, here’s hoping things pick up for Narayan soon.
