Aditya Chopra to make English ‘Kahaani’

So much was the��super-hit success at the box-office that Sujoy Ghosh’s�ʉ�Kahaani�۪ (2012) seems to be the influence of other film industries. With remakes of the film already��being rumoured��to taking place in Telugu and Tamil, news has it that none other than Aditya Chopra has claimed rights to the film for��an English remake.

As reported by the Mumbai Mirror, Yash Raj Films have been in discussions with Ghosh and Jayantilal Gada, the co-producers of the film. A source told reporters, ���It could even be under the YRF banner also. But Aditya surely wants the film. It�۪s a gripping script. The response at the ticket window is a proof of that fact.�۝

Chopra, who had originally worked on the script for the Vidya Balan starrer, has now officially claimed the rights for the movie. The remakes of the film in Telugu and Tamil will apparently��roll in��September, and are due to release at the beginning of next year.

Nothing is confirmed as yet as��to who will be the star cast of the Yash Raj Films version but it is surely one to be excited for.
