Aditi Rao Hydari scores second film with Mani Ratnam

Director Mani Ratnam is on every actor’s list, and Aditi Rao Hydari has gotten the chance to work with the director again after her last film with him, ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ (2017). She is starring in his next ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ (Bright Red Sky), alongside ‘Roja’ (1992) fame Arvind Swamy.

Mirror reports that the film shoot started on 12th February with Swamy, and Hydari will join the team in March. It is being released in Tamil and Telugu, and being dubbed in Hindi, titled ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ in Tamil and ‘Nawab’ in Telugu. A source told Mirror, “Last month, there were multiple workshops and narrations with the cast when it was revealed that the story follows the life and relationships of four brothers from a middle-class family. It is set against the backdrop of a controversial nuclear plant in Tamil Nadu and a human rights and environmental violation owning to increase in methane pollution. The film will span across three decades.”

‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ also stars Simbu and Miss India finalist Dayana Erappa.
