Aditi Rao Hydari not interested in sex comedies

Aditi Rao Hydari

Actors and actresses are always looking for something different to do, in order to prove their acting talent and get noticed for how good they are. However, there are those who have some boundaries in how far they are willing to go, including Aditi Rao Hydari who isn’t a big fan of the sex-comedy genre in particular.

“I can never do a sex comedy film in this country, as we don۪t make the actual kind of adult or sex comedy movies. There is a difference between misogyny and comedy. I can۪t be part of something that is misogynistic,”Hindustan Times reported the actress expressing.

Hydari is currently celebrating her recent India-only release titled ‘The Legend of Michael Mishra’ (2016), a laugh out loud comedy also starring Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani. Talking about the film, Hydari stated, “In the film, none of the characters are trying to be funny, it۪s just the situation that is funny. It۪s just outlandish and Manish Jha (director) has created this world with crazy people but they are also real people, real emotions but the situations are strange that it becomes funny. For me, it was not really about comic timing, it was just about being true to the character that itself is funny.”

Talking about her co-stars, she went on to add, “They (Arshad and Boman) are also effortless actors, you don۪t feel like they are acting. It۪s nice to work with people who are very chilled and don۪t take themselves too seriously.”

Hydari is definitely one actress who seems to know what she wants. Here’s hoping she doesn’t restrict herself too much though.
