Adil Ray to move to Asian Network Drive show?

Rumours have been rife that the BBC Asian Network’s current late night host Adil Ray will be moving to the station’s prime Drivetime show from April.

The BBC announced one half of the Asian Network’s new weekday schedule over the weekend and has denied to report anything further on the new programmes.

Since then Biz Asia has been given strong hints by unnamed industry insiders of possible replacements to Nikki Bedi. Nikki, who presents the Drive show at present is moving to the 12:30pm weekday show in the spring.

If true then Adil Ray’s move to the Drive show will not come as a huge surprise, after all Adil’s late night show is currently one of the most listened to on the station. Adil has also covered the Drive show on numerous occasions with a great response from listeners.

Two questions remain then…Where will the present Breakfast host Gagan Grewal move to? He has not been listed in any of the new weekday schedule released to us. Also who will take over the late night weekday music show when Adil moves to Drive? Keep it with Biz Asia for all the very latest.
