Actress Urmila to present show for Sony TV

There’s been an influx of Bollywood actresses jumping on the TV bandwagon – Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and now Urmila Matondkar.

The programme entitled ‘Waar-Parivaar’ is being produced by Gajendra Singh�۪s Saibaba Telefilms.

A source from the production house told Telly Chakkar, “The show is a musical antakshari which will have families participating and Urmila is hosting the show.”

Albert Almeida, Executive VP and Business Head Sony, says, “Urmila is hosting the show. The show�۪s motto is to hunt for a Sangeet Gharana and there will be families battling it out for the coveted title. The current layout is for 17 weeks and we have not yet decided on the day and time-slot for the programme.”

Incidently Urmila eqrlier starred in Sony TV’s ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja 2’ as a judge.
