Actor Shivin Narang to celebrate Raksha Bandhan differently this year
Raksha Bandhan is around the corner and everyone is ready to celebrate the special day with their loved ones. Shivin Narang, formerly of TV show ‘Beyhadh 2’ is also excited, but this year he will be outside the country during the festival and will be celebrating it online. The ‘Veera’ actor is currently holidaying in Bali.
“This year I will be out of the country and I know I would not be able to celebrate so I am already carrying my Rakhis. My bua has already posted the rakhis. And my Rakhi sister who lives in Mumbai, has already given me the Rakhi and the Rakhi gifts, so I will be tying it on the day. I am not going to miss it as the Rakhis are with me and I am going to celebrate once again when I am back,” he says.
Rakshabandhan plays a significant role in Shivin’s life. “I am from Delhi and as a child we used to celebrate this festival in a big way. It’s a very emotional moment. I don’t have a real sister so my buas ties me Rakhi. They ask for blessings and long life for their brother. We used to get surprise gifts for them. I am very fond of Raksha Bandhan, which is closest to my heart. My biggest show so far, Ek Veer Ki Ardaas: ‘Veera’ was about brother- sister bond and Rakhi has a very deep meaning to it. Still when I go out they ask me if I am Ranvijay from Veera who was the perfect brother. People see me as a perfect Veer Ji, who everyone wants as a brother. Becoming this role model, even if it is on screen, makes me proud,” he adds.
Shivin shares a fun and sweet relationship with all his brothers and sisters. “With my cousin’s I can say they are as good as my real brothers Shaurya and Shrey, my buas children. I have grown up with them playing WWE, sports, cricket and football. It’s a lot of fun. My choti bua is like my sister. We have grown up playing together. We share a great bond. I have a Rakhi sister and we share a special bond too. It’s not only about the blood relationships but a relationship that two people share can be beautiful too. It’s a feeling that can’t be explained where respect, love and care is there, plus we are always standing by each other. I am emotionally dependent on my brothers and sisters. If I don’t meet them for some time then I feel something is missing in my life. After meeting them I feel recharged so that comfort and happiness I get when I meet them is precious. Having brothers and sisters make you a better person,” he says.
