ABP to launch Punjabi news channel in India

Media Content and Communications Service�۪s news company ABP has finally had a licence to launch its Punjabi news service, ABP Sanjha approved.

It has taken the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) over a year to give the broadcaster permission to launch the channel. Since 2013, ABP Sanjha has been running video content via its YouTube channel. Launch details for ABP Sanjha will be disclosed in the coming days.

ABP Sanjha will compete directly with PTC News, ZEE Punjabi and MH1 News.

ABP currently runs three channels including ABP News in Hindi, ABP Majha in Marathi and ABP Ananda in Bengali.
