ABP News to shutdown on Sky in UK this month

After our exclusive BizAsia Industry Whisper published here in April 2020, BizAsiaLive.com can exclusively reveal that ABP News will be shutting down on Sky in the UK market at the end of this month.

While the decision has not been disclosed, it is believed that the broadcaster will be focusing on digital-only operations. It will continue to be available online and its mobile app. ABP News is amongst the first of a number of Asian TV channels that are planning to close their linear services in the UK.

ABP News, available on Sky channel 719, has over the years delivered consistent ratings in the UK since it launched 2013. The channel will cease broadcasting on Tuesday 30th June at midnight.
