ABP News Network launch Gujarati channel

ABP News Network India has announced the launch of its third regional-language news channel in Gujarati.

The service, known as ABP Asmita, had a soft launch last month and officially began broadcasting on Thursday 18th February in Ahmedabad by Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel.

ABP Asmita’s tagline will be ��Khabar Amari, Pragati Tamari�۪, which translates as ��Our news, your progress�۪. Its direct competitors include ETV News Gujarati, TV9 Gujarat, GS TV, Sandesh News and VTV.

The network also runs ABP News (Hindi), ABP Ananda (Bengali) and ABP Majha (Marathi). It shelved plans to launch Punjabi news channel, ABP Sanjha after the company failed to procure distribution from the state�۪s leading MSO Fastway Transmission
