The family of veteran singer Abida Parveen has announced that her London concert this week has been cancelled.
The event, which was due to take place this Friday, 26th October 2018 at Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith, London, has been cancelled owing to Parveen’s health.
A statement issued by Abida Parveen Manager and daughter; Miss Sindhu Hussain said:
“Madam Abida Parveen (singer) was quite prepared and excited about performing in the show.
However, due to issues surrounding her health, her doctors have advised her complete rest for the next few weeks. This leaves us with no option but to inform you with a heavy heart that she will not able to perform in the London Show on Friday 26th October 2018.
Madam Abida Parveen has extended her regrets to her fans intending to attend the event for their likely disappointment on her absence but she has very little control over her health.
We trust, once Madam Abida Parveen is stable and advised by her doctors that she is able to perform. We will look to organise another London show. We hope you understand our situation and appreciate your co-operation.
We are very thankful to Samara Productions for signing Madam Abida Parveen for a performance in London UK on 26th October 2018. Madam Abida has been very fortunate to find professional and talent loving entities like yours who aspire to promote sufi music. It would have been a great event and would have laid the foundation of a long-term partnership.”
The promoters of the event, Samara Production Events added:
“We at Samara Production Events for the last 15 years have always supported artists from the Indian Subcontinent and brought them to the UK to show case their talents.
We will continue to do so with your support. We pray for Abida Parveen Ji’s health and long life. This is very much disappointing for us as it is for all the fans.
To All Ticket holders. Please kindly get in contact with Eventim Apollo or Eventbrite from where you would have purchased your tickets and they will arrange your refund.”
