Abhishek Bachchan to play corrupt politician in ‘Dasvi’?

BizAsiaLive.com revealed a few weeks back that Abhishek Bachchan was to be seen next in a Dinesh Vijan production, along with Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur. It’s since emerged that the actor will be seen playing a corrupt politician in the film, which is apparently titled ‘Dasvi’.

“The film is about a corrupt and illiterate Chief Minister who is jailed and who attempts to pass the SSC examinations from jail, not because he wants to get educated but because he wants to shirk the labour that prisoners have to do. What happens to the character after gaining literacy forms the crux of the story,” said a source, according to Deccan Chronicle.

Bachchan has played politician previously but this will be a new take, directed by Tushar Jalota, which will be interesting in itself.
