Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’ has been in the news for quite some time with regards to the speculations surrounding its cast. ��While it is now known that ex-flames Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan will be reuniting��for the film for the first time post their high-profile break-up, it is also being rumoured that Abhishek Bachchan will be joining the cast.
According to��Filmfare, filmmaker Karan Johar was the one to suggest Bachchan’s name for the parallel role in Chaubey’s film. ��If all goes well, Bachchan will be essaying the role earlier offered to Ayushmann Khurrana.
Interestingly, Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor Khan had made their debut together in ‘Refugee’ (2000); while they went on to doing a number of films together after their debut, it has now been a long time since they last worked together.
