Abhishek Bachchan & Ileana D’Cruz to take lead in ‘Life In A Metro’ sequel?

Casting rumours surrounding Anurag Basu’s ‘Life In A Metro 2’ have been doing the rounds for a number of weeks.

After BizAsiaLive.com reported that Sidharth Malhotra could be a part of the film, latest buzz suggests that Abhishek Bachchan and Ileana D’Cruz could also be joining the cast as the lead pair.

A source told Bollywood Bubble, “Anurag has launched Ileana and they share a good rapport. So, it’s no surprise that he approached her for this film. She is equally excited for this. However the paper work is yet to happen. Abhishek Bachchan is too being considered for the film and Anurag has given him the narration. He has liked the script.”

The source further stated, “Anurag Basu is currently working on the final edit of the script and simultaneously is also locking the cast. The makers are aiming to release the movie sometime in July-August next year. But the release date isn’t final yet.”

Basu took to Twitter earlier to clarify the rumours doing the rounds, “Casting of an ensemble cast film can only be locked after securing combination dates of all the actors.Bohut mushkil kaam hai,sab ke calendars ek saal ke liye full hain.Aur mein ghode pe sawar hun. Will keep you posted. Final cast will be announced soon.”
