Abhishek Bachchan defends family in light of ‘Panama Papers’ controversy

Actor Abhishek Bachchan doesn’t believe the mentions of both his father, legendary actor of yesteryear, Amitabh��Bachchan and wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan within the depths of the Panama papers has caused damage to the family name.

During an interview with��Indian Express,��Bachchan clarified the media’s negative portrayal of the story in the absence of even knowing the whole truth. “That’s your side of the story. Let the government do what they have to do. Let them decide and when the fact comes out, I think you might not be asking that question.”

When asked��as to whether their impeccable and untarnished reputation has been effected by the revelations at all, Junior Bachchan, as he is fondly known, responded with, “No I don’t. ��The job of the media is to report. You do that. Then it is up to the authorities that be to decide the veracity of that report. So, I think the right thing to do is to wait for that to happen. There is complete cooperation from the family to cooperate with the powers that be.”
