After getting the nod at the box office with last year’s ‘Bol Bachchan’, Abhishek Bachchan is somewhat back on the biggie radar. Audiences will, of course, see his return in ‘Dhoom 3’ but aside from that, Bachchan has also signed Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ as well as Umesh Shukla’s forthcoming venture.
Farah’s multi-starrer will see Bachchan star with Shah Rukh Khan in parallel roles and this will see them come together on screen for the first time since ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ (2006). Bachchan will be working with Farah for the first time in a full-fledged role, having done a special appearance in ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007).
Bachchan has also been confirmed as the solo hero for Shukla’s next. Shukla’s ‘OMG! Oh My God’ did well in 2012 and he has been working on a script described as a social comedy.
Talking about the film, Shukla revealed to Bollywood Hungama, “This time it’s not based on a play or any other external source. It is an original script. It’s the story of a son and his relationship with his parents. I can’t reveal too much at the moment. But like myOMG, it will address an important social issue in an engaging humorous mood”.
