Abhinav Kashyap blasts Salman Khan & family for “sabotaging” his career

Filmmaker and screenwriter, Abhinav Kashyap has blasted Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan and Salim Khan for allegedly ruining his career after ‘Dabangg’ released in 2010. His revelation comes after the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, in which people have called out certain film individuals for nepotism and bullying.

Accusing the family of “bullying”, Kashyap said that he moved out of making the sequel to ‘Dabangg’ due to the tensions. He also said that it affected his mental health. Furthermore, in further shocking claims, he said that all his projects had been “sabotaged” and has been repeatedly been threatened with life threats. He added that female members of his family were also intimated with rape threats.

In a long statement on his Facebook, he revealed, “Arbaaz Khan sabotaged my second project with Shree Ashtavinayak Films that I was signed up with by personally calling their head Mr. Raj Mehta and threatening him with dire consequences if they made a film with me. I had to return the signing money to Shree Ashtavinayak films and moved to Viacom Pictures. They did the same thing. Only this time the sabotager (sic) was Sohail Khan and he intimidated the then Viacom CEO, Vikram Malhotra. My project was sabotaged and I was made to return my signing fee of Rupees 7 Crores plus interest of Ninety odd lacs. It’s only then that Reliance Entertainment came to my rescue and we forged an enduring partnership for my film Besharam.”

He added, “My enemies, which there were many, ran a sustained negative trolling and badmouthing campaign against the film till the box office of my film collapsed. But to their horror, Besharam had still netted 58 crore before it went out of theaters.”

Kashyap said that he would continue with his fight and not be intimidated by anyone. He signed off with, ” Enough tolerance. It’s time to fight back. So this is not a threat, it’s an open challenge. Sushant has moved on and I hope he is happier wherever he is but I will make sure that no more innocent will kill himself over lack of work with dignity in Bollywood.”

In yet another post last night, Kashyap said that a lot of people showed concern about his safety. He said, “Some concern is genuine, some fake. Either ways, I have done what I have done and will face up to whatever fate may come. I am not about to back off from my story. I have suffered for 10 years and I am quite done with it.”

He further said, “To those who are asking why I have not taken the names of others in the Bandra cartel. Well..!! I have heard many more exploitation stories in Bollywood but have no personal grudges to grind against anyone except the Khans.”
