Abhay Deol strikes deal for Facebook release of ‘One By Two’

Abhay Deol and Preeti Desai starrer, ‘One By Two’, released today rather unimpressively, as reports suggest. However, in what will be a Bollywood first, the actor for who this is a first-time production will be releasing his entire film on Facebook, BizAsia has learnt.

The film will be targetted on the social network at the international audiences. Deol said on Facebook, “One By Two will officially be the first film worldwide to premiere internationally on Facebook”. India Today report that a deal has been struck between Facebook (USA) and the makers of the movie. Rudrarup Dutaa from Viacom 18 has confirmed that Indian IP addresses will be blocked from watching the film online.

‘One By Two’ will not be releasing with much international presence so this is one way of getting to a wider audience which will allow people to watch the film from the comfort of their own homes.
