After attending the screening of much hyped ‘Rocky Handsome'(2016), which released yesterday, director duo Abbas-Mustan say they are quite impressed with Nishikant Kamant’s acting ability and would want to sign him for their next production.
‘Rocky Handsome’ is said to revolve around a man who sets out to take vengeance against a drug mafia after they abduct an eight-year-old girl, with whom he shares a special bond. The action thriller, which stars John Abraham and Shruti Haasan as lead protagonists, has Kamat portraying the villain of the movie and also credits him as the director.
According to Mid-day, the filmmakers revaled, “We have already told Nishikant [Kamat] that we are going to sign him for our next film. He is such a good actor, we can think of casting him in our film.”
Gifted with talent which shows both before and behind the camera, the directors believe Kamat is just what they need for their next. They added,”We know Nishikant very well. He is a very good director as well as actor. Being a capable actor and filmmaker he knows how to bring out the best from another actor”.
Kamat, who was present at the screening, has also expressed his interest to act again if he is offered a suitable role and interesting storyline.
With Abbas-Mustan directedblockbusterssuch as ‘Baazigar'(1993), ‘Ajnabee'(2001), Aitraaz(2004) and ‘Race'(2008) fitting the bill, many willfeel this is no coincidence. Watch this space for the official announcement.
