‘Aashiqui 2’ music score by Jeet Ganguly

The Bhatts announced in April that ‘Aashiqui 2’ is definitely being worked on and a talent-contest was launched for new faces to be in the sequel. Bollywood buffs and audiences alike will have their eyes and ears open for a soundtrack which will match if not outdo the popularity and love for the original soundtrack from ‘Aashiqui’��of 1990. Jeet Ganguly has been roped in to compose the music for the film.

Whilst the hunt for fresh faces continues, it seems the Bhatts and director Mohit Suri have approached Ganguly, according to Bollywood Hungama. Ganguly is, at the moment, working on the music of the much-awaited ‘Raaz 3’ and has most recently scored music for ‘Blood Money’ (2012). Mukesh Bhatt has confirmed, “Yes we have signed on Jeet Ganguly for the music of Aashiqui 2, since he has already worked with us on Blood Money��and is also doing Raaz 3”.

Bhatt also confirmed that ‘Aashiqui 2’ is expected to roll in June.
