Aarya Babbar is currently seen in the television series, ‘Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman’,for which he is sporting a beard. The dedication to his small screen role has, however, cost him a film, as he refused to shave his beard.
Speaking to Mid Day, Babbar said, “The makers (of the film) never gave it to me in writing that I will have to shave my beard. I was informed just a week before we were to start shooting…I think an actor is chosen because of his acting ability and not because of his facial hair. Raavan is a hit character; I would not trim a beard for a film whose future is uncertain…Yes, they had given me a signing amount but the day it became clear that I wouldn۪t do the project, I was man enough to return the money.”
The film in question wasAryeman Ramsay۪s ‘Yeh Kaisa Khiladi’. Ramsay is now on the lookout for a an actor to step into the vacant role of a cop in his film.
